Occupational Therapist (OT)
Dan is an experienced OT who has worked in the NDIS, DVA and Workers Compensation spaces. In the NDIS, Dan has worked with clients of all ages with varying disabilities including intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. Dan has a particular interest in working with teenagers and young adults. Dan has provided therapy interventions for a range of difficulties including time management and organisation, social skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, activities of daily living, upgrading programs, and travel training.
Dan has extensive experience prescribing assistive technology options. From low risk to complex items requiring assistive technology requests; Dan has received approvals for requests for scripted/customised manual & powered wheelchairs, beds, bathroom aids, scooters & trailers, customised bikes/sports equipment, home modifications, and hoists.
Dan has extensive experience returning injured workers and veterans to work in a safe yet timely manner. In the NDIS, Dan has assisted clients with intellectual, and physical disabilities to commence or maintain employment. He has used interventions such as time management skills, travel training, modifications to workplace procedures and workplace environmental modifications to ensure positive outcomes are achieved for the client and employer.
Dan uses standardised assessment tools to assess, plan intervene and track progress, including sensory profiles, adaptive behavioural assessments, gross and fine motor assessments, balance and coordination assessments, visual motor integration assessments, cognitive assessments, pressure care and self-care assessments.
With over 15 years experience as a psychologist, registration with the National Psychology Board and the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, Nic has extensive experience in mental health, children and adolescents, personal and workplace injury, DVA and work related stress. Nic also works with businesses, designing and delivering workshops in the areas of change management, wellbeing, mental health awareness, safety and leadership programs. Consulting to BlueScope Steel, Wollongong City Council, EML Insurance, and Family and Community Services, in 2017, BlueScope in Wollongong won the International BlueScope Steel Safe and Healthy People Award for a bespoke mindfulness program designed and delivered by Nic.
Gabrielle is a warm and engaging Registered Psychologist with a genuine passion to help individuals function optimally and live a meaningful life. She has extensive skills and experience in working with young people, adults and couples. Gabrielle provides support and treatment for a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, family and relationship concerns, peri and postnatal mental health, trauma, grief and bereavement, drug/alcohol issues and work-related stress. She loves and also thrives upon helping people develop their coping skills, set personalised goals and use their own strengths to increase their resilience to life’s challenges.
Gabrielle has received extensive training in and uses a variety of evidence-based approaches that include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Motivational interviewing skills, Mindfulness techniques and Strengths-based models in her practice. She has a strong commitment to a client-centred approach aimed at providing a service that is tailored to an individual’s unique personality and circumstances.
Gabrielle is also SIRA (WorkCover) accredited.
Sara places high importance on the therapeutic alliance, striving to create a calm and confidential space for individuals to explore what it is that brings them to the clinic, and to assist in learning skills and strategies that can be used from the moment they leave. Sara understands that reaching out can be hard, and she is passionate about easing this process, working collaboratively to help individuals improve their current wellbeing and resilience, irrespective of age, gender or background. Sara is trained in a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Play Therapy. She adopts a client-centred approach. Sara is described by her clients as warm empathic and positive.
Naomi is a highly experienced Registered Psychologist with deep expertise in working with individuals, couples and families of all ages.Naomi is caring and knowledgeable and committed to assisting individuals journeying through difficult life challenges, adopting a collaborative and warm approach. Naomi provides support and treatment for a wide range of issues including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, stress management, family and relationship concerns, work-related stress, peri and postnatal mental health, grief, loss and significant life change, and trauma.
Naomi also offers Clinical Supervision services to experienced practitioners as well as provisionally registered psychologists.
Naomi utilises a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples, Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness techniques and Person-Centred Humanistic Psychotherapy.
Sarah is a Registered Psychologist and Medicare provider, experienced in the assessment and treatment of a range of mental health issues. Sarah is passionate about helping others to achieve meaningful change, and she is trained in utilising a variety of evidence-based therapeutic strategies to help her clients achieve their goals. Sarah provides treatment from cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and sand and play therapy frameworks, choosing the best fit for the client and their needs. Sarah is also competent in a range of psychological assessments, and is able to provide a range of diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents and adults. In addition to her clinical work, Sarah has vast experience in providing mental heath training in the workplace. Further to her psychology degrees, she also holds a Master in Forensic Mental Health.
